The Wea Indian Tribe of today are descendants of the once great Wea Nation, whose homeland is the beautiful countryside of Indiana, once known as the "Old Northwest Territory". Wea Indian Ancestors lived peacefully and happily at Greenbay, an Island to the west side of Great Lake Michigan, and in and around Detroit, then still part of Canada (prior to 1672).
