JOHN BUNYAN
John Bunyan John Bunyan, the "Immortal Tinker", was born at Elstow, near Bedford, in 1628, and died suddenly of a violent fever at Snow Hill in 1688. John Bunyan had over 60 published works, but his most famous is undoubtedly The Pilgrim's Progress, and it has been said it is second only to the Bible in number of copies sold through the ages.
