Jane Austen was born on 16 December, 1775, at the rectory in the village of Steventon, near Basingstoke, in Hampshire, England, and died at the age of 41 in Winchester from Addisons Disease on 18 July, 1817. Jane Austen was a major English novelist, best known for her novels Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Persuasion and Emma. | ||
