Charlotte Bronte was born in 1816 at Thornton, Yorkshire, the third daughter of the Rev. Patrick Bronte and his wife Maria, and died in 1855 of pneumonia during a pregnancy at Haworth, Yorkshire. Charlotte Bronte is probably best known for her novel, Jane Eyre, and also for being one of the famous Bronte sisters. | ||
